Google locks your storage space with secure folders in files to protect privacy

Google is now launching a feature called "Secure Folder" in the "Files" application that aims to protect users through 4-PIN encryption. This is based on the company's announcement today. As the description implies, this feature effectively creates a secure file managed by the "file" application

folder. This is to prevent unauthorized opening or access to documents, images, videos, audios, etc.
This feature is well known, but now there are new details to delve into the working principle of the secure folder, Google said that the folder will actually be able to manage all file types. These will be hidden and probably only accessible through the "File" application. To access the secure folder, users will need to remember and enter a 4-digit PIN of their choice. This means that it may not be the safest application that provides such privacy solutions.
But it will also be very convenient and provide a lot of extra buffer for users who need it.
Even if the user leaves the file, for example to go to the "recently used application" user interface, the content will not be visible. This means that users will not be able to just click the "Recently Used" button to see how the user is protecting the security of both. This is paired with the application while locking the secure folder.
After re-entering this part of the "File" application, the application will again ask for the PIN. This has nothing to do with whether the user allows the application to run in the background.
When will you see the new secure folder in the file?
Now, as of now, an update that includes the long-awaited "Secure Folder" feature is rolling out to the "File" application in beta. This means that not everyone will have access right away.
However, getting access to Beta is quite simple. Users only need to navigate to the "Files" app page in the Google Play store and scroll down. Near the bottom, the store page will display a card to enter or exit the beta. To register for the beta version, you may need a
Some time, even hours. However, the next update of the application should install this version instead of the standard version. Of course, the main disadvantage is that beta programs tend to make mistakes.
Google plans to roll out "secure folders" in files "in the next few weeks." Therefore, even if they are not registered, users do not have to wait too long to get the feature.
