New update brings the ability to export local playlists to Google Play Music

Google has announced that it will close the Play Music service in October. YouTube Music will replace Google Play Music and become the company's de facto music streaming service. The latest update of the Google Play Music app includes a new "Export local playlist" function to make the transition smoother

smooth.
In the Google Play Music application of version 8.26, you can find the newly added export local playlist option in the general section of the settings menu. According to the company, it allows this app's playlist to be played on other apps. Google Play Music gets a new "Export local playlist" function, which only applies to playlists of songs downloaded from the device's internal storage. For playlists of actual streaming services, the company has introduced a YouTube music migration tool so that it can be used in its new streaming services.
After export, a new .m3u file will be created and it can be found in the internal storage. According to 9to5google, when the user starts a new export, the older export file will be deleted/updated. The company has cancelled the ability to make purchases on Play Music. Obviously, users can buy or order any new music longer.
There is no alternative application for Wear OS users. The service will be shut down for the first time in September for Google Play Music users in New Zealand and South Africa. In other countries/regions, bids will be made in October this year. For Wear OS users, there is even no other product on their smart watch that can replace the Google Play music application.
Unfortunately, there is no news about the development of Wear OS's YouTube music application. If there is no Play Music application, users can only use their smart watches to remotely control their smart phone applications.
As early as July, Google released YouTube Music for Android TV in the built-in part of the YouTube application. It lacks several basic functions that anyone would expect from a music streaming application. There is no search option when playing music. What's more interesting is that it doesn't work in the background. In addition, there is no confirmation on whether a dedicated YouTube music application will be provided for Android TV. Even if the service has been closed in October, the company will still retain Play music data until December. Current users still need three months to transfer their data to the YouTube Music application.
